A coaching pioneer joins Vision Coaching

We’re excited to announce that Amy Ruppert Donovan, one of the pioneers of the coaching industry in North America, has joined Vision Coaching as our Director of Learning and Development.

With more than 25 years of executive coaching experience, Amy combines her business leadership with her mastery of coaching to help build high performing, trustworthy leaders people want to work for.

A Master Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Amy brings a broad range of experience in a variety of industries including health care, financial, tech, manufacturing, legal, academia and government.

Co-author of Who’s the Boss? Confront the Elephant in the Room, Amy has coached leaders at all levels, from the emerging leader to the C-Suite, in the areas of communication, resiliency, fortitude, character and legacy building.

A shining star

In addition to her coaching experience, Amy has more than a quarter century of experience in program and curriculum design and has herself facilitated hundreds of training and development groups in the areas of coaching skills, emotional intelligence skills and resiliency skills for leaders.

Amy says she is excited to join Vision because of Dave Veale, company founder and CEO.

“I've known Dave for over 15 years. And I consider him to be one of the shining stars in our industry. He not only deeply understands what real coaching is, he's also got amazing business acumen. He's got a rare blend of what I call transformational coaching,” she says.

Based in Chicago, Amy is widely recognized as an early pioneer in the executive coaching industry. She’s chaired five global executive coaching conferences, is a certification examiner and assessor for the ICF and she helped to create the curriculum for the first academically accredited executive coaching program in the U.S. at the University of Texas.

Key adviser

Amy has been instrumental in Vision Coaching launching a new, proprietary coaching skills program. She acted as a key adviser in Using the Coach Approach, designed by Dave Veale and Bruce McLeod, our late general manager of coaching.

The program teaches essential leadership coaching skills to managers and leaders looking to leverage the coach approach to transform their work environment.

“I'm excited about being part of Vision Coaching, helping this program grow as well as doing some coaching with the great clients that Vision has,” she says.
