One of the highlights of my year was attending NBIF’s popular Breakthru LIVE 2015 event a few weeks ago. The event was a huge success with over $750,000 in prizes given out to group of budding entreprenurs to help them start up their company – a record setting amount. It’s the largest start-up competition of its kind in Canada.
Breakthru, New Brunswick’s Business Plan Competition, encourages the creation and development of entrepreneurial, innovative business ventures. Hosted by the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation (NBIF), Cox & Palmer and Deloitte, this province-wide start-up competition provides participants with a unique opportunity to access start-up capital, mentoring, and support.
Celebrating Innovation
Vision Coaching became a corporate sponsor of Breakthru this year because we love the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation of the event and how they overlap – and that overlap is important in our region. We have remarkable, innovative entrepreneurs and investors.
The Breakthru event is a great opportunity to rub shoulders with many movers and shakers in our province, and hear some great ideas. We love being a part of that excitement. It is inspiring to see these entrepreneurs making something out of nothing.
