Last fall, I wrote about the passing of my mother. In the time since her death, I have found myself navigating one of the most difficult periods of my life.
Navigating grief while continuing to lead Vision Coaching was, needless to say, a challenging balancing act.
Thankfully, I had Barb Richards in my corner. Barb has, for years, been my coach. And her help over the last couple of months has highlighted the power and effectiveness of coaching.
Her ability to create a safe, supportive space – allowing me to process my emotions and focus on what mattered most – was incredibly helpful. She not only helped me find clarity during one of the most challenging periods of my life, but she has also guided me in strengthening my leadership skills over the years and fostering my personal and professional growth.
Transforming lives
This experience has once again emphasized just how much power leadership coaching has to transform lives. At its best, coaching is a deeply personal journey that helps individuals tap into their full potential and achieve clarity, growth and impact. Over the years, I’ve witnessed countless examples of how coaching creates meaningful change.
In reviewing surveys of our one-to-one coaching clients, I found that almost 97 percent of Vision Coaching clients rated the process as “great” or “really great” in helping them professionally.
Clients often describe it as a gift, a rare opportunity to step back, reflect, and refocus.
Almost 95 percent of clients rated their improvement as a leader at eight or higher on a scale of 1 to 10, underscoring again coaching’s effectiveness in delivering tangible results.
99% would hire a Vision coach again
Leaders gain the confidence to make tough decisions, build stronger relationships and lead with purpose.
And 99 percent said they would hire a coach again.
Results like this underscore not just the power of leadership coaching but the remarkable gifts and talents of our professional, internationally accredited coaches.
For so many of our clients, coaching is a catalyst for breakthroughs they never thought possible.
One-to-one coaching is effective because it creates a unique opportunity for reflection. In today’s fast-paced world, leaders often struggle to find the time to pause and think deeply about their goals and challenges.
Built on trust and transparency
Coaching provides that structured space – a chance to take stock, set meaningful objectives and map out a plan for the future.
Another critical aspect of coaching is confidentiality and objectivity. Working with an external coach ensures that the conversation remains free of hidden agendas. It’s a relationship built on trust and transparency, where the coach’s sole focus is the client’s growth and success. This dynamic fosters honest dialogue and deeper exploration, paving the way for meaningful progress.
At the start of a new year, a time when many of us are setting goals and resolving to make meaningful changes, coaching offers a powerful way to turn those intentions into lasting transformation.
Over the years, I’ve seen leaders achieve incredible results. One client not only grew their business but also transformed their personal life by losing 100 pounds. Another shared how coaching improved their interpersonal skills, as reflected in stronger 360-degree feedback and better workplace relationships.
Rewards are limitless
Stories like these, which we plan to share over the coming months, fuel my passion for coaching and highlight its potential to unlock success in every area of life.
Ultimately, coaching isn’t just about achieving goals – it’s about the journey. It’s about building self-awareness, fostering resilience and discovering new possibilities.
If you’re considering coaching, I’d welcome hearing from you. Whether you’re navigating a challenge, striving for growth or simply seeking clarity, the right coach can help you unlock your full potential.
Coaching is a gift, and the rewards – for those who embrace it – are limitless.
Sincerely,
Dave Veale Founder and CEO Vision Coaching Inc.
